COURSE:

ME AS AN EMPLOYER - ASSOCIATION, CONTRACT, INSURANCE

What form of organization makes the most sense for my project? How can I employ someone and what responsibilities does this entail? What are important points that should be regulated contractually, and which insurances are recommended? Production managers Lukas Piccolin and Aline Stäheli address these questions and give an overview of the most important areas that come into play as an employer in the cultural field.

Overview of the most common business structures (sole proprietorship, association, etc.)

First steps in founding an association (SVA registration, account opening, insurance, etc.)

Overview of employment relationships in the cultural sector

Competencies and areas of responsibility of production managers and employers

The course is for producers, producing artists and anyone who wants to become one.

Your computer and a current project in planning that you can actually work on. The course is held in German, so good German comprehension is important.

Aline Stäheli was co-manager of artFAQ until summer 2024 and was involved in consulting on production issues. As a cultural worker, she works with a focus on production, theater pedagogy and mediation. She completed her training at the Zurich University of the Arts, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Theater Pedagogy and in 2020 with a Master of Arts Theater, Lead Artist.

Lukas Piccolin has been working as a recording/production manager for various film productions since 1994. Since Expo 2002 he has also worked as a production manager for various independent Swiss theater groups such as kraut_produktionen / Michel Schröder, First Cut Productions / Phil Hayes, KMUproduktionen / Tim Zulauf, Proberaum Zukunft / Sarah Verny, Marcel Grissmer, Nikolai Prawdzic and others. Lukas is part of the artFAQ consulting team.
