DAMN, DO I HAVE TO GO THERE?! – NETWORKING MADE EASY
– in cooperation with the Kulturmarkt

The personal network is an important tool for those working in the arts to access information , use resources and generate job opportunities. The course analyzes your own network and teaches techniques to activate, expand and maintain the network. The aim is also to reduce fears and develop concrete ways of using the network.

Getting to know and breaking down concrete network work under various aspects

Removing internal blockages regarding networking and “self-promotion”

Tool should be usable for your own work

Finding your own style in networking to advance your artistic work

The course is for production managers, producing artists and anyone who wants to become one.

Interest in critically examining one's own attitude towards networking.

After training as a special needs teacher, Kathrin Walde found her way to the theater as a directing and production assistant. She studied cultural management and has been working as a freelance production manager for dance and theater companies in German-speaking Switzerland since 2014. She set up the KulturHub project, which has been offering free project consulting for cultural workers at ROXY Birsfelden since autumn 2019. She has been working at artFAQ since December 2023 and has been co-director since May 2024.

Matthias Huser is a director, producer, video artist, and set designer. He studied film and theatre directing (MA) at the Zurich University of the Arts and Time-Based Art at the University of New South Wales – Fine Arts in Sydney. His work has been presented, among others, at the Cannes International Film Festival, the Locarno International Film Festival, the Autor:innentheatertage in Berlin, and at Theater Neumarkt. As a video artist and set designer, he works with various theatres in the German-speaking region, including Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Staatstheater Braunschweig, and Theaterhaus Jena. Matthias Huser is a member of the production company 8horses, the Swiss Directors Association ARF/FDS, and NETZWERK-REGIE.
